PEROXIDE BLEACHING INTENSIFIER

AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI is a special additive acting as a Post Bleaching Intensifier in peroxide bleaching processes.
In peroxide bleaching there is always a residue of 20-30% of the original amount of peroxide that is not decomposed, and remains in the bleaching liquor at the end of the bleaching cycle as waste. Normally this quantity is dropped out from the machine at the end of the bleaching process. AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI is using this leftover by activating the peroxide molecules for intensifying the whiteness results normally obtained in peroxide bleaching processes.

PROPERTIES & USES:

1. AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI is used for improving whiteness values of textiles made from cellulose fibers and blends of cellulose with synthetic fibers.

2. Suitable for bleaching processes in jets, winches and in continuous ranges.

3. In batch bleaching processes AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI is added in the last quarter of the bleaching cycle. In continuous ranges, the product is added to the final washing range. In the two processes there is no lengthening of the bleaching time, and the process is very simple.

4. Use of AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI in peroxide bleaching of sensitive fabrics such as cotton/lycra, enables getting better whiteness values without a chlorine bleaching process before the peroxide bleaching.

5. Use of AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI is lowering the concentration of peroxide at the end of the bleaching step, and therefore the consumption of peroxide killer for eliminating residues of peroxide from the fabric is lowered.

6. AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI is non-foaming at all.

7. AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI is a liquid product that can be added to the bleaching machine as it is.

APPLICATION:

1. Bleaching in jet machines

a) Use the normal peroxide bleaching recipe:

AVCO-BLANKINOL VLF 3-4 g/l

Hydrogen Peroxide (50%) 5-8 g/l

AVCO-LUX CBA-N 0.6-0.8%

b) Run for 35-45 minutes at 90-95°C

c) Add 3 cc/l of AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI, and continue bleaching for 10-15 minutes at 90-95°C.

d) Drop the bath and continue as usual.

2. Bleaching in continuous ranges

Add 5-7 cc/l of AVCO-ACTIVANT PBI to the first box in the after-washing range at 90-95°C.

The product will activate the residues of peroxide carried to the washing box by the fabrics, and the result will be an increase in the whiteness values.
