AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC

SOLVENT BASED CONCENTRATED DETERGENT

AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC is a compound of detergents and emulsifiers with non-toxic, high flash-point (above 50°C) solvents, and possessing emulsifying, excellent detergency with anti-soil re-deposition properties.
AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC is a special auxiliary, which enables one bath scouring and dyeing techniques of synthetic fibres. AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC can be used as a scouring agent, dyeing and bleaching auxiliary of fibres, hanks, packages and fabrics of cellulose and synthetics.
AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC is composed of biodegradable ingredients with no potential for bioaccumulation, and with no evolution of toxic compounds during biodegradation.

PROPERTIES & USES:

1. Excellent detergency, wetting, emulsifying and dispersing properties.

2. Good soil suspending properties, which can prevent any re-deposition of soil on dyed fabric during the whole dyeing cycle.

3. Has no retarding effect on acid, direct and disperse dyestuffs.

4. AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC is very versatile. Due to its excellent detergency it can be used in many wet processes such as bleaching, pretreatment, machine cleaning, soaping etc.

APPLICATION:

Due to its wide versatility, AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC has a number of important uses for scouring and dyeing as follows:

1. Cotton and blends

Before dyeing or printing cotton goods, it is a common practice to pre-boil or bleach the material in an alkaline medium to improve the absorbency. It has been found that the inclusion of AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC to the bath enables good wetting out of the material and aids to remove waxes and impurities.

AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC can be successfully incorporated into a hydrogen peroxide bleaching bath.

AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC is recommended for jet dyeing machines as one bath “scour dye” auxiliary.

Dosage recommendation:

¨ Alkaline pre-treatment 0.5 – 1.0 g/l

¨ Pre – scouring 0.5 – 1.0 g/l

¨ Bleaching 0.5 – 1.0 g/l

2. Polyester and blends

AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC can be used with advantage in jet dyeing machines as one bath scour/dye auxiliary. A typical cycle for bulked polyester piece goods is as follows:

a) Load the machine, run for 3-5 minutes to remove water soluble dirt and drop the bath.

b) Adjust the bath to pH 5 – 5.5, add a sequestering agent and an anti-foaming agent if required.

c) Raise the temperature to 40°C and add AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC ( 0.5 – 1.0 g/l)

d) Increase the temperature to 60°C and add the dyestuffs.

e) After circulating, raise the temperature to 125-130°C and dye to shade.

Dosage recommendation:

¨ Pre scouring to remove lubricants: Use: 0.5 – 1.0 g/l

¨ “Scour dyeing” of bulked polyester fabric in a jet dyeing machine, air injection beam, pressurized winch, overflow, kier, etc.: Use: 0.5 – 1.0 g/l.

¨ “Scour dyeing” of bulked polyester fabric in an atmospheric machine e.g. winch: Use: 0.5 – 1.0 g/l

¨ Cleaning of machines (winch, jet, kier, overflow): Use: 1 – 2 g/l

3. Polyamide

AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC can be used effectively for the scour/dyeing of bulked polyamide stockings and other polyamide articles.

Quantity recommendation:

¨ Scour/dyeing bulked polyamide hosiery: Use: 0.5 -1.5 g/l.

¨ Piece dyeing of polyamide carpets in winches: Use:1 – 1.5 g/l.

4. Wool and blends

During scouring of wool fabrics made from woolen or worsted spun yarn, problems may occur due to the incomplete removal of spinning oil or wool grease, leaving the fabric with high residual oil content. It has been found that the addition of AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC to the normal scour assists the removal of this oil and grease, especially where the blend is composed of regenerated materials or the scouring is carried out in open width. In extremely difficult cases where a double scour is necessary, AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC can be added to both baths.

Temperature of 40 – 50°C is required.

Dosage recommendations:

¨ Scouring of wool fabric in paddle machines: Use: 0.5 – 1.5 g/l

¨ Hank dyeing of hard twist carpet yarns:Use:1 – 2% o.w.f.

¨ De-greasing and hank dyeing: Use: 0.5 – 1.5 g/l

5. Machine cleaning

Excellent results can be achieved with 1 g/l AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC together with 2 g/l of caustic soda.

Run for 20 minutes at 130°C

6. Peroxide bleaching of cotton and cotton blends

a) Fill machine with water.

b) Add 0.5 -1.0 g/l of AVCO-BIOSOL MPD-HC and 1.0 -2.0 g/l of AVCO-SLIP RF (bath lubricant)

c) Load fabric and run for 5-10 minutes.

d) To the same liquor add the bleaching auxiliaries, and start the bleaching process.

Use the following recipe for full bleach:

AVCO-BLANKINOL VLF 3 – 4 g/l

H2O2 (50%) 6 – 8 cc/l

AVCO-LUX CBA-N 0.5- 1%

Run for 45-60 minutes at 90-95°C, followed by hot and cold rinse.
