AVCO-CHARGE RED

DISCHARGING AGENT FOR TEXTILE PRINTING AND DYE STRIPPING ADDITIVE

AVCO-CHARGE RED is a stabilized sulfinate derivative, used as a discharging agent for printing textile fabrics pre-dyed with suitable dischargeable dyes.
AVCO-CHARGE RED is recommended for white discharge effects and for colour printing on dark grounds.
AVCO-CHARGE RED is a reducing agent recommended for stripping off faulty dyeing from wool, wool blends and acetate fibres in acid medium.

PROPERTIES & USES:

1. AVCO-CHARGE RED is de-colorizing and producing white prints on wool, silk, polyester, polyamide, poly-acrylonitrile and cellulose fabrics pre-dyed with suitable dischargeable dyes.

2. AVCO-CHARGE RED is recommended for colour printing with suitable resistant dyestuffs on various types of natural and synthetic fabrics pre-dyed with dischargeable dyes.

3. AVCO-CHARGE RED can be used for discharge printing with AVCO-LOR pigments on dischargeable reactive dyes by the dry hot or by the steaming fixation methods.

4. AVCO-CHARGE RED is recommended for stripping off dyes from wool, polyamide and acetate.

APPLICATION:

PIGMENT PRINTING ON DISCHARGEABLE REACTIVE GROUNDS

1. AVCO-CHARGE RED should be applied with thickeners, binders and pigments which are resistant to heavy metals and reductive agents.

When adding AVCO-CHARGE RED to the thickener paste the viscosity may increase or decrease.

2. Printing pastes containing AVCO-CHARGE RED should be used within the day of its preparation.

3. Exact application instructions, for white and colored discharge printing with AVCO-LOR pigments on cellulose fabrics are explained in the technical bulletin of AVCO-PRINT DIS.

4. After printing with AVCO-CHARGE RED rinse the printed fabrics with water, to avoid

unpleasant smell from the product residues.

STRIPPING-OFF FAULTY DYEING FROM WOOL

  1. Pre-scour the dyed wool with 1 – 2 g/l AVCO-LEVOLUZE 200 and 0.5 – 1 g/l ammonia solution at 50 – 55 C.
  1. Strip-off the dyes with the following recipe:

Formic acid 1 – 2 g/l (adjust to pH 3.5 – 4.5)

AVCOL PAM 1 – 3 g/l

AVCO-RON HWF 1 – 2 g/l

AVCO-CHARGE RED 2 – 5 g/l

Treat for 30 -45 minutes at 80 – 95 C.

Rinse immediately with warm water.

STRIPPING-OFF FAULTY DYEING FROM POLYAMIDE

First step is a reductive alkaline treatment:

AVCOL PAM 2 – 4 g/l

Soda caustic (50%) 8 – 10 cc/l

AVCO-CLEAN HT 5 – 7 g/l

Treat at the boil for 45 minutes and rinse.

Continue with a reductive acid treatment:

Formic acid 1 – 2 g/l (adjust to pH 3.5 – 4 )

AVCOL PAM 1 – 2 g/l

AVCO-CHARGE RED 2 – 5 g/l

Treat at the boil for 30 – 45 minutes and rinse well.
