HYDROFHILIC FINISH FOR SYNTHETIC FABRICS WITH SPECIAL SOFT HANDLE

AVCO-ELASTOSIL HTS is an hydrophilic softener which imparts a special silky handle to synthetic fabrics. The whiteness of the treated goods is not impaired.
AVCO-SIL HTS is a jet stable silicone co-polymer in micro-emulsion form.
All these benefits and many more are bringing out a new generation of hydrophilic silicone elastomeric finishes, which is a breakthrough among textile softeners.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Appearance	Almost clear, colourless liquid.
Chemical nature	Micro- emulsion of silicone copolymers.
Ionic type	Slightly cationic
Solubility	Miscible with water at any ratio
pH (10% sol.)	4 – 5
Compatibility	Can be used together with non-ionic and cationic products.
Storage	Freezes at 0°C, but is fully useable after thawing and stirring. Shelf life is at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

1. Imparts special smooth and soft handle to the treated textiles.

2. Good hydrophilic and soil release properties when applied to synthetic fibres.

3. AVCO-SIL HTS improves sew-ability of the treated fabrics.

4. AVCO-SIL HTS improves wash and wear properties.

5. It is non-yellowing on white yarns and fabrics, even when used at curing conditions.

6. Suitable for application in jets, spraying machines and by padding processes.

7. Imparts good re-wetting and wicking properties to the treated fabrics and garments.

8. Used for all types of synthetic fibres and blends with natural fibres.

9. Imparts anti-static properties to synthetic fibres.

10. Can be used together with non-ionic and cationic hydrophilic softeners, and other finishing agents such as resins.

APPLICATION:

AVCO-SIL HTS can be easily diluted with water to any needed application concentration. The amount of AVCO-SIL HTS on the treated textile is determined by the required effect.

For improved tailoring and sew-ability 1-3% is sufficient. If additional softening effect is required, amount of 2-4% is recommended.

TYPICAL RECIPES:

1. Exhaustion method:

1-3% AVCO-SIL HTS is applied in a fresh bath.

Temperature: 40°C

Time: 20-30 minutes

pH: 5-6 (adjusted with acetic acid)

2. Padding method:

Depending on the material and the effect required, apply 10-30 g/l of AVCO-SIL HTS. Fixation is not needed.
