AVCO-ELASTOSIL PNI

HYDROPHILIC NON-IONIC SILICONE SOFTENER
AVCO-ELASTOSIL PNI is an “ultra hydrophilic” softener that is used to apply the typical “silicone” handle while improving the absorbency and the moisture transfer of the treated fabrics.
AVCO-ELASTOSIL PNI can be used for finishing sportswear, socks, towels and underwear articles that need high quality of re-wetting and wicking properties. The product is non-toxic and has no irritating effect on human skin when used on textiles intended to a direct contact with the skin.

Compatibility Can be used with all types of chemicals, normally found in textile finishing processes.
Storage Store in a cool place at temperature below 40°C Solidifies at 0°C. Fully usable after thawing and stirring. When properly stored, shelf life is at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

1. Imparts a dry soft, smooth and bulky handle to all types of textiles.

2. Excellent hydrophility and wicking properties of the treated fabrics.

3. Improves soil release properties.

4. Suitable for application on synthetic as well as on natural fibres.

5. Improves sew-ability in high-speed industrial sewing machines.

6. Reduces the surface tension of aqueous finishing liquors and therefore improves wetting out and penetration.

7. Good napping and brushing auxiliary. It can be used together with all types of organic softeners.

8. Absolutely non-yellowing finish.

9. Can be used in spraying machines. Does not contain any volatile solubilizer, and does not release any air-polluting ingredient.

10. Recommended for the “AQUATOR” finish process.

11. Good softener and plasticizer for binders used in pigment printing.

12. Fabrics finished with AVCO-ELASTOSIL PNI, can be further printed on with pigments with no influence on the rubbing fastness results.

APPLICATION:

1. Apply by padding, spraying or foam-finishing equipment.

For improving sew-ability apply: 5 – 15 g/l.

For softening effect apply: 20 – 40 g/l.

For soil release finish apply: 20 – 50 g/l

For hydrophilic finish apply: 20 – 40 g/l

2. Application by exhaust process

It can be done in short liquor machines at temperatures above the cloud point (45-50°C).
