CONCENTRATED HYDROPHILIC SILICONE FINISH WITH SPECIAL SOFT HANDLE

AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 is a concentrated hydrophilic silicone softener, which is imparting an excellent “silicone” handle to the treated textiles. The finish has excellent hydrophility and a wicking effect.
AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 is producing good permeability to water vapours through the treated textiles.
AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 has excellent wicking properties, and is recommended for finishing sport wear. The product speeds up the drying of sweat out of the human skin when training with sport clothing finished with it.
AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 is a non-yellowing softener. It prevents the tendency of white fabrics to loose whiteness degree at elevated temperatures.

Storage	Freezes at 0°C, but is fully usable after thawing and stirring. Shelf life is at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

1. Special smooth and soft handle.

2. Imparts excellent hydrophilic and wicking properties to the finished textiles.

3. AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 improves dimensional stability of knits.

4. AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 improves the sew-ability of the treated fabrics.

5. AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 improves wash and wear properties.

6. Non-yellowing on white yarns and fabrics, even when used at curing conditions.

7. Suitable for application in jets, spraying machines and by padding process.

8. Suitable for use in the “AQUATOR” finishing process. It imparts good water vapours transmission through the treated textiles.

9. Imparts good re-wettability to terry towels and underwear along with excellent handle.

10. AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 is not sensitive to residual alkalinity in the treated textiles. It can be applied in a wide pH range of 3 – 10.

11. Used for all types of fibres such as: viscose, wool, cotton, polyester, acrylic, polyamide and all kinds of blends.

12. Imparts anti-static properties to synthetic fibres.

13. Can be used together with non-ionic and cationic hydrophilic softeners, and other finishing agents such as resins.

APPLICATION:

AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 can be easily diluted with water to any needed concentration. The amount of AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 on the treated textile is determined by the required effect.

For improved tailoring and sew-ability, 1-2% o.w.f. are sufficient. If additional softening effect is required, the amount of 1.5-3% is recommended.

TYPICAL RECIPES:

1. Exhaustion method

1-3% of AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264 is applied in a fresh bath at pH of 5-6.

Temperature: 40°C

Time: 20-30 minutes

pH: 5-6 (adjust with acetic acid)

2. Padding method

Depending on the material and the effect required, apply 10-30 g/l of AVCO-ELASTOSIL T-264. Fixation is not required.
