AVCO-LOR WHITE TD

TITANIUM – DIOXIDE AQUEOUS DISPERSION

AVCOLOR WHITE TD is a concentrated fine dispersion of Titanium-dioxide in aqueous paste, for preparation of white and “coloured-matt” printing pastes.

SPECIFICATION:

Viscosity (25°C) 80 – 100 d.Pa.s (Haake viscosimeter).
Appearance Viscous white paste
Chemical nature Aqueous dispersion of TiO2 with special printing additives.
Compatibility Is not compatible with cationic products, strong acids and strong alkalis.
Density App. 1.55 – 1.60 g/cc.
Ionicity Anionic / nonionic.
pH (as is) 7 – 9
Solubility Can be further dispersed in water.
Storage Store in a cool place, in a tightly closed drum. Sensitive to frost. When properly stored, storage time is at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. Good compatibility with aqueous pigment printing pastes.
  2. Suitable for printing with fine screen types on flat bed and rotary printing
    machines.
  3. Suitable for printing woven and knitted fabrics, made of natural, synthetics and
blends. (dyes of synthetic fabrics should be fast to sublimation).
  4. Hand of printed fabrics is not brittle and coarse.
  5. No skin formation after prolonged storage, if drum is tightly closed.
  6. AVCOLOR WHITE TD is suitable for printing white patterns on dyed fabrics and for
printing “white on white” and coloured matt designs.

APPLICATION:

  1. For preparation of full white printing paste use the following recipe:
    AVCOLOR-WHITE TD – 650
    AVCO-BINDER SPC – 300
    AVCO-PRINTOSIL EM – 15
    AVCO-PRINTFIX L – 15
    AVCO-ANTIFOAM PR – 3(optional)
    AVCO-CLEAR NP-5 – 15 (adjust to the needed viscosity)
Use an high-speed mixer. Add ingredients in the same order mentioned in the recipe. Adjust amount of AVCO-CLEAR NP to the needed viscosity (60-100 d.Pa.s).
    Filter the paste before printing.
After printing, dry at 120°C and cure for 3-5 minutes at 150°C. It is possible to increase fixation temperature up to 1800C and to shorten fixation time to 1.5 minutes.
  2. Reduced white printing paste:
To the “full-white” recipe add water, and correct viscosity by adding more AVCO-CLEAR NP, mix with an high speed mixer.
  3. Coloured matt effect.
To a reduced white printing paste (less than 30% white TD) add the needed amount of AVCOLOR PIGMENT.
  4. Matt effect in back coating of textile fabrics
When back coating textile fabrics with aqueous latex emulsions, AVCOLOR WHITE TD is used for hiding and covering the coated fabric. Use 50-300 g/kg AVCOLOR WHITE TD in the coating recipe. The coat can be tinted with AVCOLOR pigment dispersions.
