AVCO-LUB FCI

CREASE – INHIBITOR

AVCOLUB FCI is a crease inhibitor which acts in jet dyeing machines, winches, rotary drums washers and paddle dyeing machines as a gliding agent and crease inhibitor.
AVCOLUB FCI has little or no effect on dye yields and develops practically no foam.

SPECIFICATION:

Appearance White, slightly viscous, pour able liquid.
Density Approx. 1.0
Ionicity Nonionic / anionic
pH Approx. 7 – 8
Resistance to: Acids,Alkalis, Electrolytes , Water- hardness Good under the conditions normally encountered in practice.
Solubility Emulsifiable in cold or hot water.
Storage
  1. Freezes at O°C, fully usable after thawing and stirring.
  2. Do not store in direct sun and hot places. If separation occurs, can be restored by stirring.
  3. Shelf life is at least 12 months.
Composition Aqueous preparation of fatty acid esters.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. AVCOLUB FCI acts as a crease inhibitor in preparation, boiling off, bleaching, dyeing
of fabrics and dyeing garments in piece dyeing machines.
  2. Woven and knitted fabrics made from polyester, polyamide or cellulosic fibres and
their blends have remarkably improved running properties on overflow machines, jet
dyeing machines and winches. AVCOLUB FCI prevents the formation of rope creases and
tears. This lubricant is particularly suitable for use in airflow machines.
  3. In machines with high dye liquor turbulence AVCOLUB FCI does not show any tendency to
    foam.
  4. In garment dyeing and other treatment processes in paddle and rotary drum dyeing
machines, levelling can be improved by AVCOLUB FCI, and chafe marks and folds are
    prevented.
Softening can be carried out with less softener because AVCOLUB FCI gives fabrics a
    softer handle.
  5. AVCOLUB FCI is an excellent crease inhibitor in finishing of denim garments,in rotary
washers. It is used during desizing or pre-washing processes.

APPLICATION:

Addition of AVCOLUB FCI is calculated on the weight of the goods. After a change of bath, only parts of the full amount of AVCOLUB FCI need to be added to the liquor because, owing to the products good substantivity, the slip properties of the fabric are largely retained. AVCOLUB FCI is added in diluted form to the treatment liquor and dozed into the dyeing machine via a stock or expansion tank, before the goods are entered. The dyes are added after running for several minutes.
Recommended dosage of AVCOLUB FCI is the following:

1 – 3 g/l AVCOLUB FCI calculated on the total liquor
or
1 – 3 % AVCOLUB FCI based on fabric weight.
