Hydrosulfite bleach: very good

Steaming, fixation: very good

Acid stability: good up to pH of 3.0

5. Stability in bleaching baths:

Acid stability: unstable bellow pH of 4.0

Hypochlorite: not stable

Sodium chlorite: not stable

Peroxide: very good

Hydrosulfite: very good

APPLICATION:

1. For cellulose fibres AVCO-LUX HA is used in neutral to alkaline baths with medium to long liquor ratios. An addition of electrolyte is not required.

The optimum temperature is 60-70°C. The effect of the temperature is, however, not very pronounced and excellent white effects are achieved even when the products are applied at the temperature commonly used in peroxide bleaching baths. In order to achieve good levelness, it is advisable to add the pre-dissolved brightener right at the beginning of the process or at a low temperature.

2. AVCO-LUX HA can be applied in post reductive bleaching of cotton, after peroxide bleach.

3. In the case of polyamide fibers AVCO-LUX HA is used together with a reductive agent (e.g. BLANKIT IN). Reductive bleaching produces an increase in the whiteness, and at the same time the pH correction by the addition of acid is not necessary. High whiteness is achieved at 85-95°C.

4. AVCO-LUX HA is recommended for optical brightening of wool at 60°C.

GUIDING FORMULATIONS:
