AVCO-LUX YS is an acid resistant fluorescent brightener with low affinity that is producing very brilliant white effects on cellulose fibres. The product is intended primarily for application by padding process and is suitable for acidic resin finishing baths such as in post curing. AVCO-LUX YS-T is a tinted version of AVCO-LUX YS with a bluish-violet hue. SPECIFICATIONS:
PROPERTIES & USES:1. AVCO-LUX YS or AVCO-LUX YS-T produce outstanding white effects when applied in resin finishing, especially together with reactant resins. The finish can be cured by either the conventional dry curing, shock condensation, as well as by moist and wet curing processes. 2. AVCO-LUX YS or AVCO-LUX YS-T are versatile brighteners that can be used in handle finishing baths together with stiffeners and fillers such as starch, synthetic resin dispersions and non-ionic softeners. The excellent compatibility with other brighteners for polyester fibres enables one-step application in the wash and wear finishing of blends of polyester/cotton and polyester/rayon. 3. AVCO-LUX YS or AVCO-LUX YS-T have an excellent acid stability even at pH < 1 and can be applied in highly acidic finishing baths. 4. AVCO-LUX YS or AVCO-LUX YS-T have very low affinity, and does not cause any tailing problems. 5. AVCO-LUX YS or YS-T cannot be applied by exhaust processes. FASTNESS PROPERTIES ON FIBRES:

Dosage recommendation: 100% Cellulosic fabrics: AVCO-LUX YS or AVCO-LUX YS-T 5 – 15 g/l 65:35 Polyester/cotton: AVCO-LUX YS or AVCO-LUX YS-T 2 – 8 g/l 50:50 Polyester/cotton: AVCO-LUX YS or AVCO-LUX YS-T 2 – 10 g/l AVCO-LUX YS or AVCO-LUX S-T are applied by a one-bath method together with the resin-finishing agents, acidic catalysts, non-ionic softeners and other non-ionic or anionic finishing agents.
