AVCO-RON P280

“WASHING OFF” AGENT FOR REACTIVES

AVCO-RON P-280 is a non surface-active dispersing and sequestering agent specially developed for the washing-off of cellulose fabrics and yarns dyed and printed with reactive dyestuffs. The product imparts to the treated goods a high level of washing fastness properties which cannot be achieved with detergents.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Appearance White powder
Chemical nature Sodium salts of organic and inorganic polymers.
Density (kg/m3) 1100-1300
Ionic type Anionic.
Solubility Soluble in water up to 250 g/l
pH (1%) 8 – 9
Compatibility Compatible with hard water, alkalis and mild acids. Is not compatible with cationic products.
Storage stability Stable for at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

AVCO-RON P-280 has unique and well balanced properties of a good dispersing agent, sequestering agent and a protective colloid which offers the following advantages:

1. AVCO-RON P-280 prevents the re-deposition of the hydrolysed reactive dyes onto the cellulose fibres surface at the end of the dyeing process.

2. AVCO-RON P-280 is sequestering and dispersing calcium and magnesium present in the water and prevents the precipitation of the hydrolysed reactive dyes with the metal ions.

3. The product reduces number of soaping and rinsing baths.

4. It is possible to wash printed fabrics even with hard water with no risk of precipitation of calcium alginate and water hardness.

5. It is non-foaming at all, and can be used in all types of high-speed jets.

6. AVCO-RON P-280 has no influence on dyestuffs containing metal complexes in the molecule structure, and produces no change in shade and no decrease in normal light fastness of reactive dyestuffs.

7. Improves the rubbing and the washing fastnesses of dyed and printed goods.

APPLICATION:

General dosage recommended is 0.2-0.5 g/l.

The optimum pH range is 7-8.5

For critical dyes such as reactive turquoise it is recommended to apply a fixing agent such as 1-2% of AVCO-FIX FF (fixing agent free of formaldehyde) after the soaping-off process.
