AVCO-SIL S

ANTIMIGRANT FOR PIGMENT DYEING

AVCOSIL S is an antimigrating agent for pigment dyeing of textile fabrics by padding process.

SPECIFICATION:

Appearance Clear, colourless liquid
Chemical nature Poly- ethoxylated copolymer in aqueous solution.
Ionicity Nonionic.
pH (of 1% sol. in water) 7 ± 0.5
Solubility Soluble in cold water under 40°C at any ratio.
Storage Do not store at temperature lower than 2°C or above 35°C. If product separates because of wrong storage conditions, it can be restored by simply mixing at room temperature. When properly stored, shelf life is at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. AVCOSIL S is used as an antimigrating agent only for pigment dyeing, and is not
suitable for vat or disperse dyeing.
  2. AVCOSIL S is compatible with all kinds of finishing agents used in pigment dyeing
such as softeners, binders, resins and catalysts.
  3. AVCOSIL S produces very even dyeing effect, from side to side and from up to down
    face
    of the fabric.

APPLICATION:

Following are some examples of application:
Pigment dyeing recipe:
AVCOSIL S 5 -25 gr/l
AVCO-BINDER D 40 – 120gr/l
magnesium chloride 5 – gr/l
AVCOSOFT NIC 20 -40 gr/l (optional)
AVCOLOR PIGMENTS X – gr/l
Pad, dry at 110-130°C, cure at 150°C for 3-4 min.
One bath dyeing and resin finishing:
AVCOSIL S 5-25 gr/l
AVCO-BINDER D 40-120gr/l
AVCOREZ LFR40-120gr/l
magnesium chloride 6 -15 gr/l
AVCOSOFT PE20 -40 gr/l
AVCOSOFT NIC 20 -40gr/l (optional)
AVCOLOR pigment X -gr/l

Pad, dry at 110-130°C, cure at 150°/3-4 min.

REMARKS
  1. Pick up of fabric should be as low as possible, 80% or lower.
  2. Add AVCOSIL S pre-diluted (1:4) to the padding liquor, before the binder and pigments are added.
  3. Use of magnesium chloride is preferred, but other acid donors such as ammonium salts can be used.
  4. Cure for 3-4 minutes at 150°C. At higher curing temperatures, curing time can be reduced up to 1-1.5 minutes at 180°C
