AVCO-SLIP DS-100

GLIDING AGENT AND CREASE – INHIBITOR

AVCOSLIP DS-100 is a concentrated crease inhibitor which acts in jet dyeing machines, winches, drum and paddle dyeing machines as a gliding agent and also as a special levelling agent for disperse dyes.
AVCOSLIP DS-100 has no effect on dye yield and develops practically no foam.

SPECIFICATION:

Appearance Slightly yellow brownish pour-able liquid.
Composition Blend of fatty acid esters and emulsifiers.
Density (gr/cc 25°C) Approx. 0.90 g/cc

Solubility Emulsifiable in cold or hot water.
Stability to: Acids, Alkaliks & water hardness Good under the conditions normally encountered in electrolytes practice
Storage Stable for at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. AVCOSLIP DS-100 acts as a crease inhibitor in boiling off, bleaching and dyeing in rope form on piece dyeing
    machines.
  2. Woven and knitted fabrics made from polyester, polyamide or cellulosic fibres and their blends have remarkably
improved running properties on overflow machines, jet dyeing machines and winches. AVCOSLIP DS-100 prevents the
formation of rope creases and marks. This lubricant is particularly suitable for use in the airflow machine.
  3. Levelling of disperse, reactive and direct dyes is promoted. Heating up can be accelerated and migration times in
the dyeing cycle considerably reduced without substantial loss of dye yield. AVCOSLIP DS-100 has been found to have
good compatibility with liquors containing sulphur, vat or wool dyes. In machines with high dye liquor turbulence
AVCOSLIP DS-100 normally does not show any tendency to foam.
  4. In garment dyeing and other treatment processes in paddle and drum dyeing machines, levelling can be improved by
AVCOSLIP DS-100 and chafe marks or folds are prevented.
  5. Softening can be carried out with less softener because AVCOSLIP DS-100 imparts fabrics a softer handle.
  6. AVCOSLIP DS-100 is an excellent crease inhibitor in finishing of denim garments in rotary washers. It is used
    during desizing or pre-washing process.
  7. After a change of bath, only part of the full amount of AVCOSLIP DS-100 need to be added to the next bath because,
owing to the product’s good substantivity, the slip properties of the fabric are largely retained.

APPLICATION:

AVCOSLIP DS-100 is added in diluted form to the treatment liquor and fed into the dyeing machine via a stock, or expansion tank, before the goods are entered. The dyes and other chemicals are added after running for several minutes.
Recommended dosage of AVCOSLIP DS-100 is the following:
0.25 – 1.0 g/l AVCOSLIP DS-100 calculated on the total liquor
or
0.25 – 1.0% AVCOSLIP DS-100 based on fabric weight.
