AVCO-SOFT NI FLK

CONCENTRATED NON-IONIC SOFTENER BASE

AVCO-SOFT NI FLK is a non-ionic softener base used for finishing cellulose and synthetic fabrics and their blends.
AVCO-SOFT NI FLK is applied by the padding process in combination with resins, catalysts, optical brighteners, PVA, poly-acrylates, and pigments or as a sole finishing agent.
AVCO-SOFT NI FLK is non-yellowing and imparts to the fabric a soft and full hand. Fabrics softened with AVCO-SOFT NI FLK can be over printed with pigments with no influence on the fastness properties.

Properties and uses:

1. Imparts a soft and full handle to all kinds of textile fabrics.

2. Non-yellowing even at elevated temperatures.

3. Compatible with many chemicals such as mild acids and alkalis, peroxide, water hardness and anionic and cationic finishing agents.

4. Highly concentrated softener saves storage room and handling in the dye-house.

APPLICATION:

Before use, prepare a 10% dispersion of AVCO-SOFT NI FLK in water, according to the following procedure:

1. Sprinkle the AVCO-SOFT NI FLK into cold water while agitating.

2. Raise the temperature to 50-70°C and mix until all flakes are dissolved to a homogenous liquid.

3. Cool down to 30-40°C.

4. Adjust to pH 5-5.5 with acetic acid.

5. Drain through a filter.

Following are some examples of application:

1. Treatment of Cotton or Polyester fabrics and blends:

Pad with 30-60 g/l of AVCO-SOFT NI FLK (10%) followed by drying and calandering.

2. Finishing of poly-cotton bed sheeting:

Pad with the following recipe:

AVCO-SOFT NI FLK (10%) 30 – 60 g/l

AVCO-ELASTOGUM 100 5 – 20 g/l

3. Pigment dyeing of cotton and poly-cotton fabrics:

Pad with the following recipe:

AVCO-LOR pigment X

AVCO-BINDER D 20 – 80 g/l

Di-ammonium phosphate 1 – 2 g/l

AVCO-SIL S 5 – 15 g/l

AVCO-SOFT NI FLK (10%) 30 – 80 g/l

4. Crease resistant finish of woven cotton:

AVCO-REZ ECO CONC 30 – 60 g/l

Magnesium chloride 10 – 18 g/l

AVCO-SOFT PE 20 – 40 g/l

AVCO-SOFT NI FLK (10%) 30 – 60 g/l

Padding, drying, curing for 3 minutes at 150°C or 30 seconds at 170°C.

5. Finishing 100% cotton satin white fabrics:

Pad with the following recipe:

AVCO-LUX CN-100 4 – 8 g/l

AVCO-SOFT NI FLK (10%) 30 – 60 g/l

Padding, drying and hot calandering.

6. Finishing of 65/35 cotton/polyester printed with pigments:

Pad with the following recipe:

AVCO-SOFT NI FLK (10%) 30 – 60 g/l

AVCO-ELASTOGUM 100 10 – 20 g/l
