AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS is a liquid cationic softener, modified with silicone elastomer, used for softening all kinds of fibres, yarns, fabrics and garments.
AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS imparts excellent hand with high surface smoothness.
AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS is recommended for napping and brushing operations.

PROPERTIES & USES:
- AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS produces a smooth, soft, non-greasy handle on all fibres,
mainly those made out of cellulose and its blends.
- AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS is a liquid product and handling in the mill is very easy.
- AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS provides good anti-static effect to synthetics and to their
blends.
- Good lubricity is imparted to yarns which minimizes breakage when winding off.
- AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS facilitates taking off of stocking from frames.
- Can be used in resin finishing baths.
- Excellent napping and brushing aid.
- Recommended for softening garments and denim articles in rotary washers.
APPLICATION:
AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS can be applied by padding method or by exhaustion method.
Before adding to the bath, dilute product with water.
A. Application by exhaustion:
Add 2-4% AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS.
Adjust pH to 5-5.5 with acetic acid.
Apply for 20-30 minutes at 30-40°C.
Hydroextract and dry at 120-150°C.
B. Application by padding:
Apply 20-40 gram/liter AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS depending on pick-up and the required hand. Pad, dry at 120-140°C.
Following are some typical recipes:

Softening cotton yarns
AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS 2 – 3% o.w.g
Adjust pH to 4.5 – 5.5 with acetic acid
Treat at 40 – 45°C for 20 min.

Finishing wool garments in a paddle machines.
AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS 1.5 – 2.5% o.w.g
Adjust pH to 5 – 6 with acetic acid
Treat at 40°C for 20 min.

Super soft finish of cotton knits.
AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS3 – 5% o.w.g
Adjust pH to 4.5 – 5.5 with acetic acid.
Treat at 40 – 45°C for 20 min.

Finishing viscose fabrics in padding process
AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS 20 – 30 g/l
Padd, dry at 120 – 140°C.

Finishing pile fabrics before napping
AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS 20 – 40 g/l
Pad, dry at 120 – 140°C

Denim finishing
AVCO-SUPERSOFT KPS2 – 4%
Adjust pH to 4.5 – 5.5 with acetic-acid. Treat at 40°c for 10-15 minutes.
