LEVELLING AGENT, ACCELERATOR AND ACID DONOR FOR POLYESTER DYEING

AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC is a new generation of accelerator and leveling agent designed for the “rapid” dyeing of polyester in HT machines. The product imparts excellent migration properties to the dyestuffs and overcomes differences in affinity caused by the polyester fibers.

AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC is a highly concentrated product, beside of being an excellent leveling agent, the product is also adjusting the acid pH needed for polyester dyeing. The usage of AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC ensures even dyeing and complete the exhaustion of dyestuffs from the dyeing bath onto the polyester fibers.

PROPERTIES & USES1. Excellent leveling properties when used for dyeing polyester under HT conditions. Has no dye-retention effect and improves colour yield.

2. AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC can level-out “barriness” problem, and produces excellent coverage of stripes.

3. Synchronizes the exhaustion of “Tri-Chromatic” dyes and other dye combinations. Ensures even dyestuffs build-up when dyeing in HT conditions.

4. Shortens the dyeing time, even when increasing heating rate to 4ºC/minutes, the dyeing results are even and leveled.

5. Very good dyeing results when dyeing in beam and in yarn dyeing machines.

6. Excellent dispersing properties.

7. The physical properties of polyester dyed with AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC will not be influenced.

8. Can be used for leveling – out faulty dyeing.

9. Highly concentrated product.

10. Ensures the acid pH needed in polyester dyeing.

11. The usage of AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC ensures full exhaust of the dyestuffs onto the fibers, which enables excellent dyeing reproducibility.

APPLICATION:

1. AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC is added to the dye bath before the dye addition. The product should be pre-diluted with water before use.

2. Usage recommendation is: 1-2 g/l, however, in difficult conditions, the usage of 2-3 g/ is recommended.

3. For light shades increase the amount of AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC in order to obtain excellent leveling and migration properties.

4. When dyeing at the boil increase the amount of AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC.

5. For getting maximum coverage of barriness, select the most suitable dyestuffs.

6. For leveling out faulty dyeing apply 1-3 g/l of AVCO-ACCELERATOR LAC at H.T. conditions for 30-60 min.

PROCEDURE:

1. Load the machine, run for 3-5 min. with cold water to remove emulsified lubricants. Drop the bath. (optional)

2. Add fresh water. Heat to 40-50°C and add the pre-diluted product to the warm water and circulate for 3-5 minutes.

3. Check the pH, it should be 4.5-5.5.

4. Add the dyestuffs by linear dosing over 10 min.

5. Raise the temperature to 130°C and hold for 30 minutes.

6. In difficult conditions hold for longer time, 45-60 min.

7. Cool down to 70-80°C and drop the bath.

8. Rinse with cold water.

9. Apply reduction clearing procedure if needed.
