UNIVERSAL ANTI-FOAM EMULSION

AVCO-ANTIFOAM R-140 is a concentrated anti-foaming agent suitable for all textile preparation, dyeing and finishing processes.
AVCO-ANTIFOAM R-140prevents and destroys foam in all water phase treatments of fibers, yarns and fabrics.
AVCO-ANTIFOAM R-140 can be used in baths from acid to alkaline pH values.
AVCO-ANTIFOAM R-140is compatible with a wide range of dyestuffs, detergents and additives used in pretreatment, dyeing and finishing processes.
AVCO-ANTIFOAM R-140is stable in cold and hot baths, and there is no emulsion break-down when used in jets or circulating machines. By its de-aerating effect the product improves the running properties of fabric ropes in jet machines.

Compatibility	Stable in aqueous processes used in textile preparation: bleaching, dyeing finishing and printing. Is not stable at extreme pH range.
Storage stability	Do not store in direct sun and in hot places. The product solidifies in frost but can be reused after thawing and thorough mixing. When properly stored product is stable for at least 12 months.

3. Good stability to high temperatures up to 130°C.

4. Good stability to high shearing machines with a long lasting de-foaming effect.

5. Stable in a wide range of pH values (2-12).

6. AVCO-ANTIFOAM R-140 is a liquid product which can be dosed very easily into the aqueous phase. AVCO-ANTIFOAM R-140 spreads in the aqueous medium very quickly, and its anti-foaming effect shows up immediately.

APPLICATION

To achieve rapid dilution and thus maximum effectiveness and economic use, AVCO-ANTIFOAM R-140 should be diluted with 3 – 5 parts of cold water before adding to the dyeing or finishing machine.

Dilution should be made by simple stirring with a rod, pour product into the water while stirring.

For an optimum effect it is important to add AVCO-ANTIFOAM R-140 separately to the liquor. Avoid mixing the concentrated antifoam with other chemicals in the side tank or in the weighing device.

The recommended dosage is 0.1 – 0.5 g/l. The stock solution of the pre-dissolved product should be gently stirred before using. Generally, a stock solution is prepared for one working day.
