AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF

VERY LOW FOAMING DETERGENT

AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF is a concentrated compound of emulsifiers, detergents and hydrophilic defoaming additives. It is an excellent detergent and emulsifiers with low foaming properties even in boiling alkaline bath. AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF is recommended as a detergent for removal of oil, lubricants and waxes in preparation and bleaching processes of fibres, hanks, yarn packages and fabrics made from natural and synthetics fibres. It is highly recommended for application in high speed jet machines.
AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF is composed of biodegradable ingredients with no potential for bioaccumulation, and with no evolution of toxic compounds during biodegradation.

PROPERTIES & USES:

1. Excellent detergency, wetting, emulsifying and dispersing properties.

2. Highly concentrated product.

3. AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF is composed of a scientific compound of emulsifiers which removes all kinds of lubricants which may occur in textiles yarns and fabrics.

4. Good soil suspending properties, which can prevent any re-deposition of soil on dyed fabric through all dyeing cycle.

5. Stable to high temperature and alkalinity as used in bleaching processes.

6. Very low foaming properties, recommended for jet machines. The build-in defoamer has hydrophilic properties and disperses easily in the aqueous bleaching solution, and is not causing any spot formation.

7. AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF is very versatile. Due to its excellent detergency it can be used in many wet processes such as bleaching, pretreatment, machine cleaning, soaping etc.

APPLICATION:

Due to its wide versatility, AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF has a number of important uses for scouring and dyeing as follows:

1. Cotton and blends:

Before the dyeing or printing of cotton goods, it is common practice to pre-boil or bleach the material in an alkali medium to improve the absorbency. It has been found that the inclusion of AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF to the bath enables good wetting out of the material and aids to remove waxes and impurities.

AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF can be successfully incorporated into a hydrogen peroxide bleaching bath.

Dosage recommendation:

Alkaline pre-treatment 0.5 – 1.0 g/l
Pre-scouring 0.5 – 1.0 g/l
Bleaching 0.5 – 1.5g/l
Dyeing 0.3 – 1.0 g/l

2. Polyester and blendsAVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF can be used in jet dyeing machines as one bath scour/dye auxiliary. Following is typical cycle for bulked polyester fabrics:

1. Load the machine, run for 3-5 minutes to remove water soluble and emulsifiable matter and drop the bath.

2. Adjust the bath to pH 5-5.5 add a sequestering agent ( AVCO-TRYL HPH).

3. Raise the temperature to 40°C, add AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF (0.5-1.5 g/l) and a leveling agent (AVCO-NAL PLD).

4. Increase the temperature to 60°C and add the dyestuffs.

5. After circulating, raise the temperature to 125-130°C and dye to shade.

Dosage recommendations of AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF:

¨ Pre scouring to remove lubricants: Use: 1-1.5 g/l

¨ “Scour dyeing” of bulked polyester fabric in a jet dyeing machine, air injection beam, pressurized winch, overflow, kier, etc: Use:1 – 1.5 g/l.

¨ Addition to the reduction clearing bath: Use: 0.5 – 1.0 g/l.

3. Polyamide

AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF can be used effectively for the scour/dyeing of bulked polyamide stockings and other polyamide articles.

Dosage recommendation:

¨ Scour/dyeing bulked polyamide hosiery: Use:1 – 2 g/l

¨ Scour/dyeing micro fibre knits in jet machines: Use:1- 2 g/l.

4. Peroxide bleaching of cotton and cotton blends

a) Fill machine with water.

b) Add 0.5-1.0 g/l AVCO-BIOLUZE GC-NF and 1-2 g/l AVCO-SLIP AND (bath lubricant)

c) Load fabric and run for 5-10 minutes.

d) To the same liquor add the bleaching auxiliaries, and start the bleaching process.

Add bleaching auxiliaries according to the following recipe:

AVCO-STABILIZER HP 0.5 – 1.0 g/l
H2O2 (50%) 6 – 8 cc/l
Soda caustic (50%) 2 – 3 cc/l
AVCO-LUX CBA-N 0.5 – 1.0 %

Run for 45-60 minutes at 90-95°C, followed by hot and cold rinse.
