AVCO-L PBN

DETERGENT AND EXTRACTION AID FOR PRE-TREATMENT

AVCOL PBN is a low foaming detergent and extraction agent, which is used in preparation and in cold and hot bleaching processes of cotton and cotton blends fabrics. In high liquor ratio bleaching processes, AVCOL PBN can be used without an additional stabilizer.

AVCOL PBN provides better absorbency and whiteness, without damaging fabric strength.

SPECIFICATION:

Appearance Slightly yellowish clear liquid
Chemical nature Aqueous blend of ethoxylated surfactants with complexing agents.
Compatibility
  1. Compatible with all chemicals normally used encountered in hot and cold bleaching.
  2. Is not compatible with cationic products.
Ionicity Anionic/nonionic
pH (10% sol.) 4 ± 1
Solubility Miscible with water at any ratio
Storage Freezes below O°C. Fully usable after thawing and stirring.
When properly stored, storage time is at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. Extraction aid, which removes scale dirt, waxes, fats and residues of sizing
    material.
  2. Low foaming detergent which emulsify and suspends in water oils and impurities,
and prevents soil re-deposition on the treated fabrics.
  3. Contains a special dispersing agent which disperses insoluble inorganic salts
(carbonates, phosphates, silicates) and prevents precipitation of scale on the
fibres surface, and on the machine walls.
  4. Ensures high absorbency and whiteness of treated fabrics.
  5. Very good action in peroxide cold pad batch bleaching process.
  6. Very good action in combined demineralization / desizing processes.
  7. AVCOL PBN possesses inherent acidity and is suitable for acidic demineralization
of fabrics, and for combined deminezalization and bleaching of cellulosic
    fabrics.
  8. Liquid product, suitable for automatic dosing.

APPLICATION:

AVCOL PBN can be dissolved in cold or warm water as is without pre-diluting.

Recommended recipes:

  1. Continuous cold oxidative de-sizing and bleaching of cotton and polyester cotton
    AVCO-STABILIZER CPB 4.0 – 8.0 g/l
    Caustic Soda (100%) 25.0 – 35.0 g/l
    Hydrogen Peroxide (35%) 40.0 – 60.0 g/l
    AVCOL PBN 3.0 – 6.0 g/l
    AVCOSON OX 4.0 – 6.0 g/l

    Bath temperature: 20 – 30°C
Dwelling time: 16 – 24 hours wrapped with plastic cover in a rolling station.
Washing off is done in a continuous washer (minimum 5 boxes) by the following procedure:

    Box 1 – 95°C Set up with 1 cc/l Caustic Soda 45 Be’
    Box 2 – 95°C Hot water
Box 3 – 95°C Dispense with AVCOL PBN (apply 2 gr/kg running fabric).
    Box 4 – 95°C Hot water
    Box 5 – 50°C Warm water

Counter current is necessary and addition of fresh hot water to box 3 and 5 is recommended all through the washing off stage.
  2. Desizing of cotton and polyester cotton fabrics by the pad roll process

    AVCOZIM WET 4.0 – 6.0 cc/l
    AVCOL PBN 3.0 – 6.0 g/l

Warm bath to 60-70°, pad, wrap with a plastic cover and store in a rotating station for 4-8 hours.
Washing off is done in a hot bath (90-95). Dosing of 1-2 cc/l caustic – soda to the bath will improve size removal.
  3. Bleaching cellulosic fibres in high liquor ratio machines
    1. One bath one step bleaching of cotton knits use the following bleaching recipe:
      AVCOL PBN 1.0 – 2.0g/l
      Hydrogen Peroxide (35%) 3.0 – 5.0g/l
      Caustic soda (50%) 2.5 – 3.5g/l
Bleach for 45-60 minutes at 90-95°C.
    2. Two baths two steps demineralization and bleaching of cotton yarns.
      Demineralization step:
      AVCOL PBN 1.5 – 2.5g/l
Treat for 20-30 min at 70-80°C.
      Drop bath and rinse.
      Bleaching step:
      AVCOL PBN 1.5 – 2.5g/l
      Hydrogen Peroxide (35%) 3.0 – 5.0g/l
      Caustic soda (50%) 2.5 – 3.5g/l
Bleach for 45-60 min. at 90-95°C.
    3. One bath two steps demineralization and full bleaching of cotton knits in jet machines.
      Add 1.5-2.5 g/l AVCOL PBN.
Load fabric and treat for 20-30 min at 70-80°C.
After demineralization, to the same liquor, without dropping bath add bleaching auxiliaries and peroxide according to the following recipe:
