AVCO-L PET

DETERGENT FOR AFTER-WASHING OF PRINTED POLYESTER

AVCOL PET is a surfactant especially manufactured to remove and suspend residual disperse dyes, from printed and dyed polyester, triacetate and blends of these fibres.

Chemical nature Combination of poly- ethoxylated surfactants and sulphonated polymers.
Compatibility
  1. Is not compatible with cationic products.
  2. Compatible with mild acids and alkalis.

pH (10% sol.) 6 – 8
Solubility Miscible with water at any ratio.
Storage Freezes below O°C Fully usable after thawing. Shelf life is at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. Enables rapid elimination of synthetic and natural thickeners from the printed
    fabrics.
  2. Removes and suspends unfixed dyes.
  3. Keeps unfixed dyes in water dispersion, and prevents staining of white and
    colored grounds of the printed fabrics.
  4. Keeps white areas clean and bright.
  5. Assures clear and bright shades, with better crock and wash fastness.
  6. While printing polyester blends with cellulosic fibres, AVCOL PET keeps disperse
    dyes from staining the cellulosic part.
  7. Low foaming detergent.
  8. Liquid product which can be dosed easily.

APPLICATION:

  1. In a batch type machine (winch, jig, beam or jet) use the following procedure:
    • Rinse with cold water
    • Scour at 60-70° C , for 20-30 minutes with the following recipe:

      AVCOL PET 1- 3 g/l
      NaOH (50%) 1- 3 cc/l
      HYDROSULFITE 2 – 3 g/l

    • Rinse and neutralize with 1 g/l Acetic-acid.
  2. In continuous washing machine use the following procedure:

    Box No. 1 – cold rinse with 1 g/l AVCOL PET

    Box No. 2 – hot rinse (60°C) with 1-2 g/l AVCOL PET
    Box No. 3 – hot scouring (70-80°C) with the following recipe:
    AVCOL PET 1 – 3 g/l
    NaOH (50%) 1 – 3 cc/l
    HYDROSULFITE 2 – 3 g/l
    Box No. 6 – hot rinse (60°C) with 0.5 cc/l acetic acid
    Box No. 7 – cold rinse
