Solubility |
Soluble in water at any ratio. |
Storage |
Shelf life is at least 12 months. |
PROPERTIES & USES:
- Levelling effect:
The slight affinity of the product to the dye-sites of the cellulose fibres,
enables more even absorption of the dye molecules to the cellulose fibres,
resulting in a better levelness.
- Buffering effect:
The pH fluctuations in the initial steps of alkali addition are caused by uneven
distribution of alkali in the textile. The buffering effect enables more even
fixation rate, resulting in better levelness and appearance of the dyed fabrics.
- Dispersing / complexing effect:
Calcium, magnesium, and other heavy metal ions, which can occur in the dyeing
liquor, originating from process water, machine walls, the textile material
itself and from the salt, alkali, and other chemicals used in the process. Water
hardness contamination can cause many problems in the dyeing processes of
reactives. AVCO-LEVELER 1488 contains a dispersing complexing additive which can
eliminate these problems.
- AVCO-LEVELER 1488 has no effect on the shades of reactive dyes containing heavy
metal.
- AVCO-LEVELER 1488 is non-foaming at all.
- AVCO-LEVELER 1488 is a liquid product, and can be metered to the dyeing machine
as is.
- AVCO-LEVELER 1488 is effective for all types of exhaust dyeing machines (jets,
jiggers, winches and drum machines).
- AVCO-LEVELER 1488 is a unique additive for reactive dyeings which can improve
dyed fabric appearance and assure better reproducibility of the dyeing results.
APPLICATION:
Add AVCO-LEVELER 1488 in the beginning of the dyeing process, before any other chemicals and dyes.
The product should be dosed as is or pre-diluted in the side tank.
Usage: 1 – 2 g/l
When using AVCO-LEVELER 1488 the amount of alkali used in the dyeing process should be increased by 5 – 10% on the original calculated amount.
