AVCO-LEVELER NI

NONIONIC LEVELLING AGENT

AVCO LEVELER NI is a versatile nonionic textile dyeing auxiliary used in various fields:Vat dyeing assistant in low concentrations. Vat stripping agent at higher concentrations. Levelling agent for continuous vat dyeing and for pad-jig work. Dispersing agent for disperse dyes when applied to Polyamide and Acrylic fibers. Anti precipitant in the dyeing of wool or Polyamide mixtures with acrylic fibers, where acid dyestuffs and basic dyes are used in the same bath. Leveller for dyeing cellulose fibres with direct dyes.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. Very versatile levelling agent for dyeing vat, disperse and directs.
  2. Anti-percipitant for dyeing cationic and anionic dyes.
  3. Suitable for all kinds of dyeing machines.

APPLICATION:

  1. VAT DYES STRIPPING
AVCO LEVELER NI retards the dyeing rate of vat colours in direct proportion to the concentration used. The conditions existing in a stripping bath containing AVCO LEVELER NI promotes dye solution and destroys dye affinity so that the colour will not dye back on. The following recipe is suggested for stripping vat colours:

    AVCO LEVELER – NI 1.5 – 2 %
    Sodium Hydrosulfite 1 – 2 gr/l
    Caustic soda 0.5 – 1 gr/l

Add chemicals at 50-60°C, raise temperature to the boil, and treat at 95-100°C for
30-45 minutes, followed by thorough rinsing.

  2. VAT DYEING
AVCO LEVELER NI is a good vat dyeing assistant at low concentrations.
    At a concentration of 0.1% – 0.2%
AVCO LEVELER NI controls the dyeing rate to give more level dyeing.
  3. DISPERSE DYES ON NYLON
When dyeing nylon with disperse dyes AVCO LEVELER NI disperses the dyestuffs and has no affinity to the nylon.
A concentration of 0.25 to 0.5% on weight of the goods is sufficient.
  4. DYEING WITH DIRECT DYESTUFF
AVCO LEVELER NI is particularly good in the dyeing of direct dyestuffs, especially where the concentrated color is padded on the goods before dyeing. In the dyeing of direct colors a concentration of 1-5 gr/l of AVCO LEVELER NI based on the volume of dyeing liquor is recommended.
  5. DYEING BLENDS OF PAC/PA
Blends of Poly-acrylic and Polyamide fibres can be dyed with cationic and acid dyes by one bath method employing AVCO LEVELER NI as an anti-precipitant.
    Use 0.5 – 2 gr/l in the dyeing bath.
