70 – 80 d.Pa.s (Haake viscosimeter). |
Appearance |
Viscous white paste |
Chemical nature |
Dispersion of TiO2 in a soft acrylic binder and special printing additives. |
Compatibility |
Is not compatible with cationic products, strong acids and strong alkalis. |
Density |
App. 1.5 g/cc. |
Ionicity |
Anionic / nonionic. |
pH (as is) |
7 – 9 |
Solubility |
Can be further dispersed in water. |
Storage |
Store in a cool place, in a tightly closed drum, at temperature above O°C. Protect from frost. When properly stored, storage time is at least 12 months. |
PROPERTIES & USES:
- White effect is excellent, with a very good coverage of the printed area.
- Suitable for printing with fine screen types on flat bed and rotary printing
machines.
- Suitable for woven and knitted fabrics, made of natural, synthetics and blends.
(dyes of synthetic fabrics should be fast to sublimation).
- Hand of printed fabrics is not brittle and coarse.
- No skin formation after prolonged storage, if drum is tightly closed.
- Good washing and rubbing fastness of the printed areas if cured properly.
- AVCOLOR WHITE RPU is suitable for further mixing with a clear paste for “white on
white”, “coloured-matt” and for weaker white printing effects.
APPLICATION:
-
AVCOLOR WHITE RPU should be printed as is. After long storage, the product should be pre-filtered before use.
-
After printing, dry at 120°C and cure for 3-5 minutes at 150°C. It is possible to increase fixation temperature up to 180°C and to shorten fixation time to 1.5 minutes.
-
If lower viscosity is desired, add small amount of electrolytes such as ammonium sulphate, or add 5-10 % of water followed by high speed mixing.
For increasing viscosity use AVCO-CLEAR NP.
-
For improving fastness results add 0.5-1.5% AVCO-PRINTFIX L.
-
AVCOLOR WHITE RPU can be used to produce “coloured-matt” effects. Blend with a standard clear printing paste, adjust viscosity with AVCO-CLEAR NP, and add the needed amount of AVCOLOR pigments.
-
AVCOLOR WHITE RPU is used as is. It is possible to reduce white pigment concentration by blending with a clear paste, to produce weaker white effects.
