AVCOLUB HLA is a yarn lubricant and softener which can be applied to cotton and acrylic knitting yarns, to increase their surface smoothness, and to lower fibre/metal and fibre/fibre friction, and thus to enable high speed knitting, with less seconds and less machine stops.

PROPERTIES & USES:
- Reduces fibre/metal and fibre/fibre friction nearly 50% compared to untreated
material.
- Imparts soft and full hand to treated yarns.
- Product is non-yellowing and thermostable.
- Does not affect tear resistance and extension.
- Does not affect dyeing fastness.
- Can be applied in yarn dyeing machine, with or without another cationic softener.
- Use of AVCOLUB HLA cancels need of after waxing of yarns in winding machines.
- Uniform distribution of the product through the cross – section of the bobbin.
- Low foaming properties.
- Imparts anti-static properties to treated yarns.
- AVCOLUB HLA is used for finishing cotton, wool, poly-acrylic and blends of these fibres.
- AVCOLUB HLA is used as a softener for fabrics, which improves very much the sew-ability of the treated fabric.
- AVCOLUB HLA is recommended to be used as a napping and raising aid for knitted and woven fabrics.
APPLICATION:
a. Application on yarns:
AVCOLUB HLA is applied as in normal softening treatment.
Treat at 40-50°C at pH 5.5-6.5 for 15-30 minutes.
Application level should be 2-4% O.W.G.
b. Application on fabrics:
-
Application by exhaustion procedure should be done at pH 5-6, at 40-50°C for 15-30 minutes. Level of application should be 2-4% O.W.G.
-
Application by padding should be at concentration of 20-50 g/l, with or without another softeners or elastomers.
-
Over-dyeing/shading
When yarn has to be redyed or shaded, applied AVCOLUB HLA can be washed off by treating with 2 g/l AVCOPAL BN at 70°C for 20 minutes.
