PROPERTIES & USES:
- AVCOMERCE WET is highly effective wetting agent for mercerizing baths, and
thereby ensures rapid penetration of the caustic liquor into the cellulose
fibers. The product enables rapid wetting of tight woven grey fabrics even at
high running speeds.
- When applied on bleached or pre-boiled fabrics AVCOMERCE WET ensures uniform
mercerizing effect.
- AVCOMERCE WET is suitable to be used for mercerizing cotton knits and yarns.
- AVCOMERCE WET is a non-cresolic and non-phenolic mercerizing wetting agent.
- AVCOMERCE WET is a low foaming product. It is non-toxic and it is
biodegradable. Its solution in caustic is stable and suitable for mercerizing
woven fabrics and knits.
- When lowering concentration of alkali below 20-25°C Be` the wetting effect is
decreasing proportionally.
- AVCOMERCE WET is suitable also for the application in the hot mercerization
process.
APPLICATION:
- For mercerizing grey cotton use 5-10 gr/l of AVCOMERCE WET in the caustic bath.
- For pre-boiled or bleached cotton, the amount of AVCOMERCE WET can be reduced to 1-3 gr/l.
- The product is simply stirred into the caustic bath at room temperature. After a long break (e.g. over weekend), an even distribution of padding liquor should be made by using the circulation pump.
- 4. If, for recuperation of the mercerizing liquor, the caustic concentration is increased
above 38° Be`, the AVCOMERCE WET should be added only to the mercerizing
liquor ready to use, to avoid precipitation of the product in the concentrated feeding
liquor.
