AVCO-NAL PLD

LEVELLING AND DISPERSING AGENT FOR POLYESTER
AVCONAL PLD is a new generation of levelling and dispersing agent designed for the “rapid” dyeing systems of polyester in HT machines.
AVCONAL PLD is an environment friendly product. It does not contain any hazardous and volatile components in its composition.
AVCONAL PLD is composed of biodegradable ingredients with no potential for bio-accumulation, and with no evolution of toxic compounds during biodegradation.

Appearance Slightly yellowish clear liquid
Chemical nature Blend of nonionic and anionic surface active agents.
Compatibility
  1. Can be used with electrolytes in the following concentrations:
    Up to

    1. 100 gr/l sodium chloride
    2. 70 gr/l sodium sulfate
    3. 50 gr/l sodium acetate
  2. Compatible with alkaline solutions up to 15 gr/l Soda Caustic (100%).
  3. Can be used in acidic solutions in pH normally encountered in polyester dyeing.
Ionicity Slightly anionic
pH (as is) 7 ± 1
Solubility Miscible with water at any ratio
Storage Freezes below O°C. Fully usable after thawing and stirring. Shelf life is at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. Highly effective levelling properties.
  2. Good dispersing properties.
  3. Marked stability to electrolytes.
  4. Very good results when dyeing in systems difficult to level such as beams and
    yarn machines.
  5. Shortens dyeing time, even when increasing heating rate to 4°C/minutes, dyeing
    results are very even and level.
  6. Has no retarding effect, results with very good colour yield.
  7. Improves stability of disperse dye liquors.
  8. Levelness of “Tri-Chromic” dyes and other dye combinations are excellent.
  9. AVCONAL PLD can level-out “barriness” problem, and produces excellent coverage of stripes.
  10. The product is low foaming. Addition of electrolytes and/or crease inhibitor such as AVCOSLIP-LB reduces foam to minimum, especially during the heating up and cooling down processes.

APPLICATION:

ECOLOGY:

AVCONAL PLD does not contain any hazardous and volatile components. All the components of AVCONAL PLD are based on surfactants from natural sources, which are fully biodegradable, and do not cause any harm to the environment.

APPLICATION:

AVCONAL PLD is added to the dye bath before the dye addition.
Usage:1-3 gr/l
In difficult conditions, usage of 3-4 gr/l can produce excellent results.

Procedure:

  1. Add AVCONAL-PLD and circulate for 3-5 minutes.

  2. The bath is adjusted with Acetic Acid to pH 4-5.
  3. Start heating up, add dyestuffs at 50-60°C.
  4. Raise to 130°C and hold for 30 minutes.
  5. Cool down to 70°C and drop bath.
  6. Cold rinsing or reduction clearing procedure if needed.
For getting maximum coverage of barriness, select the most suitable dyestuffs. Apply 3-4% o.w.g. AVCONAL PLD, dye at 130-135°C for 60 minutes.
