AVCO-PAL SFN

SOLVENT FREE DETERGENT AND EMULSIFIER.

Solvent free wetting agent, detergent, emulsifier and spotting agent for the removal of oil and grease containing stains on all types of fibres.

SPECIFICATION:

Appearance Scientific blend of nonionic surfactants.
Chemical nature Slightly yellowish, almost clear liquid.
Ionic character Nonionic
pH of 1% solution 6.5 – 7.5
Solubility Dissolve AVCOPAL SFN in the ratio of about 1:4 in warm water and then dilute with cold water. AVCOPAL SFN solutions are cloudy.
Stability Stable to hard water, bleaching solutions and acids under the conditions generally prevailing in the textile industry. 5 g/l AVCOPAL-SFN are stable at room temperature to 20 cc/l caustic soda (50%).
Storage Stable for at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. AVCOPAL SFN has an excellent emulsifying and dispersing effect on oil, grease and
pigment soil and is therefore used for washing off loom oils, lubricants and oil
preparations on all kinds of fibres.
  2. AVCOPAL SFN is also used as a wetting, dispersing and emulsifying agent for
    bleaching
processes, for enzymatic de-sizing and for washing before and after dyeing and
    printing.
  3. Stable 1:10 spotting solutions can be produced with AVCOPAL SFN.
  4. AVCOPAL SNF is a highly concentrated product.

APPLICATION:

In the impregnation method, AVCOPAL SFN should be used if possible at concentrations up to 10 g/l so that particles of fat and wax, dissolved in the fibre, can be emulsified.
In high liquor machines quantities of 0.5 to 2 g/l AVCOPAL SFN are used, the exact amount depending on the degree of soiling.
Following are several guiding recipes:
  1. Treatment in a long liquor 1:5 to 1:20
For wetting, preliminary washing, after-washing and bleaching use 0.5 to 2 g/l AVCOPAL SFN depending on the degree of soiling.
  2. Enzymatic de-sizing-impregnation method.
Impregante the goods with enzyme according to the instructions, together with 2-6 g/l AVCOPAL SFN.
  3. Removal of weaving oil spots – impregnation method.
Impregnate the goods with 5 – 10 g/l AVCOPAL SFN.
Plait down and batch up,then wash off with 0.5 to 2 g/l AVCOPAL SFN and 2-4 gr/l Soda ash.
  4. Spot and stain removal
Treat the area with 10% AVCOPAL SFN solution and batch up, then wash off with 0.5-2 g/l AVCOPAL SFN and 2-4 gr/l Soda ash.
  5. Washing of raw wool
In raw wool scouring machines use 0.5 to 1.0% AVCOPAL SFN (based on raw wool) and soda ash for pH adjustment to 8.5 to 9.5 at a washing temperature of 50 to 55°C.
