AVCO-POLYLEV 2000

ANTI “BARRE” LEVELLING AGENT AND ACCELERATOR FOR POLYESTER DYEING
AVCO-POLYLEV 2000 is a new generation of levelling agent designed for the “rapid” dyeing of polyester in HT machines. The product imparts excellent migration properties to the dyestuffs and overcomes differences in affinity caused by the polyester fibres.
AVCO-POLYLEV 2000 is an highly concentrated product, beside of being an excellentlevelling agent the product has also good scouring effect and is recommended also for the one bath scour / dye process.AVCO-POLYLEV 2000 is composed of biodegradable ingredients with no potential for bio – accumulation, and with no evolution of toxic compounds during biodegradation.

Compatibility Can be used with all chemicals used in dyeing of polyester.

Solubility Miscible with water to produce white emulsion.
Storage Shelf life is 12 months at least. The product is slightly sensitive to frost.Fully useable after thawing and stirring.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. Excellent levelling properties when used for dyeing at the boil and under HT
    conditions.
  2. AVCO-POLYLEV 2000 can level-out “barriness” problem, and produces excellent
    coverage of stripes.
  3. Levelness of “Tri-Chromic” dyes and other dye combinations are excellent with
    very even dyestuffs build up.
  4. Very good results when dyeing in systems difficult to level such as beams and
    yarn machines.
  5. Shortens dyeing time, even when increasing heating rate to 4°C/minutes, dyeing
    results are very even and level.
  6. Excellent dispersing properties.
  7. The light fastness of polyester dyed with AVCO-POLYLEV 2000 will not be influenced.
  8. Can be used for levelling – out faulty dyeings.
  9. Highly concentrated product.
  10. AVCO-POLYLEV 2000 has an excellent washing effect and is recommended for the one step scour/dye process.
  11. Low foaming product.
  12. Easy dosable. Suitable for automatic dispensing system.

APPLICATION:

  1. AVCO-POLYLEV 2000 is added to the dye bath before the dye addition. The product should be pre-diluted with 1:3 amount of luke-warm water (30-40°c).
  2. Usage recommendation is: 0.5-1gr/l. In difficult conditions, usage of 1-3 gr/l is recommended.
  3. For light shades increase amount of POLYLEV 2000 in order to obtain excellent levelling and migration properties.
  4. When dyeing at the boil increase amount of POLYLEV 2000.
  5. For getting maximum coverage of barriness, select the most suitable dyestuffs.
  6. For levelling out faulty dyeing apply 1-3 g/l POLYLEV 2000 at H.T. conditions for 30-60 min.
PROCEDURE:
  1. Load machine, run for 3-5 min. with cold water to remove emulsifiable lubricants and drop. (optional)
  2. Add fresh water. Heat to 40-50°C and add the pre-diluted product to the warm water and circulate for 3-5 minutes.
  3. The bath is adjusted with acetic acid to pH 4-5.
  4. Add dyestuffs by linear dosing over 10 min.
  5. Raise to 130°C and hold for 30 minutes.
  6. In difficult conditions hold for longer time 45-60 min.
  7. Cool down to 70-80°C and drop bath.
  8. Rins with cold water.
  9. Apply reduction-clearing procedure if needed.
