AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK

COMPLEXING AND DISPERSING AGENT FOR PRETREATMENT

AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK is a special dispersing and sequestering agent, offered for the alkaline pretreatment of cotton and cotton blends.
AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK is based on a unique combination of organic polymers with protective colloid properties, which can prevent precipitation of Calcium, Magnesium and heavy metals on the textile fibres and on machines parts.
AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK prevents redeposition of soil onto textile fibres during preparation and bleaching processes.

SPECIFICATION:

Appearance Sightly yellowish, clear liquid
Chemical nature Blend of complexing agents and long chain polycarboxylated polymers.
Compatibility Resistant to strong alkalis, silicates, oxidizing agent and reducing agent normally encountered in pretreatment procedures.
Ionicity Anionic
pH (1% sol.) 10 ± 1
Solubility Miscible with water at any ratio
Storage Stable for at least 12 months.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK increases efficiency of detergents used in the pretreatment
procedure, and improves primary detergency by synergistic action.
  2. Improves the secondary detergency, by preventing soil re-deposition on treated
    fabric in the scouring process.
  3. Excellent dispersing properties, and de-crystalizing of precipitated Calcium,
Magnesium and heavy metals salts (threshold effect).
  4. Stable to all chemicals used in cotton and cotton blends pretreatment, such as
    strong alkalies, persulphates, hydrogen-peroxide etc.
  5. Good complexing of heavy metal ions in alkaline pH.
  6. Very good action in cold pad batch bleaching and hot bleaching (continuous and
    batch type processes).
  7. Non foaming at all.

APPLICATION:

AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK is a pour-able liquid, and can be metered directly to the treatment liquor. The application quantities are the following:
  1. Long liquor bleaching process with H2O2- use 0.5 – 2 g/l
  2. Cold pad batch bleaching with H2O2 – use 1 – 3 g/l
  3. Hot continuous bleaching with H2O2 – use 1 – 3 g/l
  4. Alkaline boiling off continuously – use 1 – 3 g/l
  5. Alkaline boiling off in high liquor ratio machines – use 0.5 – 1.5 g/l
