AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK is a special dispersing and sequestering agent, offered for the alkaline pretreatment of cotton and cotton blends.
AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK is based on a unique combination of organic polymers with protective colloid properties, which can prevent precipitation of Calcium, Magnesium and heavy metals on the textile fibres and on machines parts.
AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK prevents redeposition of soil onto textile fibres during preparation and bleaching processes.

Stable for at least 12 months. |
PROPERTIES & USES:
- AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK increases efficiency of detergents used in the pretreatment
procedure, and improves primary detergency by synergistic action.
- Improves the secondary detergency, by preventing soil re-deposition on treated
fabric in the scouring process.
- Excellent dispersing properties, and de-crystalizing of precipitated Calcium,
Magnesium and heavy metals salts (threshold effect).
- Stable to all chemicals used in cotton and cotton blends pretreatment, such as
strong alkalies, persulphates, hydrogen-peroxide etc.
- Good complexing of heavy metal ions in alkaline pH.
- Very good action in cold pad batch bleaching and hot bleaching (continuous and
batch type processes).
- Non foaming at all.
APPLICATION:
AVCO-POLYQUEST PDK is a pour-able liquid, and can be metered directly to the treatment liquor. The application quantities are the following:
-
Long liquor bleaching process with H2O2- use 0.5 – 2 g/l
-
Cold pad batch bleaching with H2O2 – use 1 – 3 g/l
-
Hot continuous bleaching with H2O2 – use 1 – 3 g/l
-
Alkaline boiling off continuously – use 1 – 3 g/l
-
Alkaline boiling off in high liquor ratio machines – use 0.5 – 1.5 g/l
