AVCO-PRINT ABZ-CONC

READY MADE PIGMENT PRINTING PASTE CONCENTRATE

AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC is a ready made aqueous printing paste concentrate, designed for printing aqueous pigment dispersions on textile fabrics.
AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC contains all the auxiliaries and additive, needed for achieving the best pigment printing results along with excellent flow properties of the printing paste, which ensures high-speed printing with excellent definition.Highly recommended one-shot concentrate for automatic “colour-kitchens”.

PROPERTIES & USES:

  1. AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC can be used with all types of aqueous pigment concentrates.
Nonionic pigment preparations such as AVCOLOR PIGMENT range are preferred.
  2. AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC is suitable for printing on all types of absorbent textile
fabrics. Only fabrics that can stand hot curing process at 150°C for 3 minutes
    at least should be used.
  3. AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC is suitable for printing with all types of rotary and flat bed
printing machines, even with very fine mesh screens.
  4. Prints are soft, and when properly cured, the fastness properties are good.
  5. AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC contains a re-dispersible binder, which has no tendency to
clog screens, even in long printing runs.
  6. AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC is highly concentrated, with minimum extra cost for transport.
  7. AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC is designed for application in automatic colour kitchen.

APPLICATION:

  1. Prepare a clear paste by high speed mixing AVCO-CLEAR NF-PC or AVCO-CLEAR NP into softened water (2%). Adjust to viscosity of 75-85 dPa.S.
  2. Prepare ready-made paste by mixing AVCOPRINT ABZ – CONC with the needed quantity of clear paste.
    Dosage

    AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC y
    CLEAR PASTE 1000-(y+x)
    PIGMENTS X
Amount of AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC is proportional to the quantity of pigment concentrate.
Use the following equation for calculating it.
    y = 100 + 6 · x
    y =grams AVCOPRINT ABZ – CONC/kg of printing paste.
X = grams pigment concentrate/kg of printing paste.
  3. Add to ready made printing paste the needed amount of the pigment concentrate. Concentration of pigment should not be above 5-6% when using European standard pigment concentrates.
  4. Mix pigments in the printing paste with an high speed homogenizing mixer, until all pigments are very well dispersed in the paste. Sieve through a fine mesh screen.
  5. Print, dry and cure for 3-5 minutes at 160-150°C, It is possible to shorten curing time by increasing the temperature. Curing at 180°C for 1-2 minutes is enough.
Hot pressing can be sufficient, but results should be evaluated carefully.
Pre-check for any yellowing problems of white grounds, when curing at elevated temperatures.
  6. For increasing paste viscosity add 0.25 – 0.50% AVCOCLEAR NF-PC or AVCO-CLEAR NP.

  7. For lowering viscosity add up to 10% of water, or add a solution of common salt or ammonium salt (very small quantities are needed: 0.5-1 g/kg).
  8. For improving wash fastness, when printing on synthetic fabrics add 0.5-1% AVCO-PRINTFIX L.
  9. After printing, screens should be washed and dried in the normal procedure. During long stoppage in the printing process, screens should be wrapped with a wet rug, or should be removed from the machine for cleaning and drying, before further used.
  10. Residues of coloured pastes can be mixed for reusing in any desired colour recipe. When residue of print paste is stored for long time, the paste should be kept in tightly closed drum.
Before reusing, after long storage the paste should be re-homogenized and filtered.
AUTOMATIC “COLOUR KITCHENS”
In automatic colour kitchens it is common to apply 20-30% reductions of the original
pigment concentrates in the dosing tanks.
When using such pigment reduction pastes the dosage of AVCOPRINT ABZ-CONC
should be adjusted to the actual amount of the pigment concentrate in the final
printing paste.
