AVCO-PRINT DIS

READY MADE PASTE FOR DISCHARGE PRINTING WITH PIGMENTS

AVCOPRINT DIS is a special printing paste designed for producing discharge pigment prints on textile fabrics pre-dyed with dischargeable reactive dyes.
The effect is produced by dry heat fixation with no need of steaming process.

SPECIFICATION:

Appearance White to cream viscous paste.
Chemical nature Aqueous dispersion containing polysaccharides and nonionic emulsifiers, humectants and acrylic binders.
Compatibility Can be used with all chemicals used in pigment printing procedures.
pH (as is) 6 – 8
Solubility Dispersible in water at any ratio.
Storage Store in closed containers. Sensitive to frost. When properly stored, storage stability is at least 12 months.
Viscosity 40 – 60 dPa.s (Haake viscotester)

PROPERTIES & USES:

AVCOPRINT DIS is a solvent free printing paste, compatible with discharge printing
auxiliaries such as sulfoxylate derivatives, used to produce discharge pigment prints
on fabrics predyed with reactive dyestuffs.
The effect is produced by direct printing followed by dry heat fixation at 150-160°C
and a mild rinse.
There is no need for any steaming process before the dry heat fixation. The pigment
colour is developed immediately after the fabric is getting out of the drying chamber
of the printing machine. Monitoring of the printing process is very easy as in normal
pigment printing process. AVCOPRINT DIS contains special additives to protect the
screens against clogging during printing.

APPLICATION:

Printing paste preparation
  1. Weigh the needed amount of AVCOPRINT DIS.
  2. Add Avcolor pigments as required, and start high speed mixing.
  3. Add 3-10% AVCOCHARGE RED. (Viscosity of the printing paste is increased).
  4. For dark shades add 0.5% AVCO-PRINTFIX L.
  5. Filter
  6. Shelf life of the ready made paste is about 8-10 hours. Prepare the paste only for immediate use.
Printing and fixation
  1. Print
  2. Dry at elevated temperature.
  3. Heat set at 150-160°C for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Rinse cold and wash with warm water at 40-50°C.
REMARKS
  1. Check each individual dyestuff of the pre-dyed fabric for suitability to discharge printing. Information about dischargeability can be received from dyestuffs manufacturers.
  2. Check each individual pigment for the suitability to discharge printing. Information about dischargeability can be received from pigment manufacturers.
  3. Amount of AVCOCHARGE RED depends on the needed effect. As the ground shade of the pre-dyed fabric is darker increase amount of AVCOCHARGE RED.
  4. For full white discharge effect select the suitable reactive dyestuff, and use the following printing paste recipe:
    AVCOPRINT DIS -60 – 85
    AVCOLOR WHITE TD -10 – 30
    AVCOCHARGE RED- 5 – 10
