READY MADE PEARLESCENT PRINTING PASTE

AVCO-PRINT PRL is a printing paste used to produce coloured pearl lustre, silver and gold effects on printed fabrics.
AVCO-PRINT PRL can be applied by brushing and printing processes onto ready made garments and denim articles.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Chemical nature	Aqueous paste containing special lustre inorganic pigments with soft acrylate binder and other printing additives.

Compatibility	1. Can be mixed with products normally used in pigment printing processes. 2. Is not compatible with strong alkalis and acids. 3. Is not compatible with concentrated electrolytes.
Storage stability	Store in closed drums in temperature not below +2°C. Sensitive to frost.

PROPERTIES & USES:

1. Can produce “ivory” effects on white fabrics.

2. Can produce “silver” effects on pre-dyed grounds.

3. Can be tinted with AVCO-LOR BLACK CH to produce “silver” effects.

4. Can be tinted with AVCO-LOR pigments to produce coloured and “gold” effects.

5. Good running properties in all types of printing machines The screen gauze and engraving depth should not be too fine. ( 60 mesh or 135 “nova” rotary screens are suitable.

6. After curing the print exhibits good washing and rubbing fastnesses.

7. The printed fabrics has no tendency of greying or becoming green during the use as may occur with bronze and aluminium printing pastes.

8. The hand of the printed fabrics is smooth and flexible.

9. AVCO-PRINT PRL has long shelf life.

APPLICATION:

1. If the viscosity adjustment is needed, the addition of 5-10% of water can lower the viscosity. Increasing the viscosity can be done by AVCO-CLEAR NP. It is possible to reduce the viscosity by adding small amount of electrolyte.

2. If a softer hand is needed, add 1-5% of AVCO-PRINTOSIL EM.

3. To improve the cross-linking of the binder film, the addition of 1 – 2% of AVCO PRINTFIX L is recommended.

4. To improve the running properties add 1-2% of AVCO-PAL LUB.

5. The product should be stirred and filtered before use.

6. The printing can be done in flat or rotary printing machine. If possible print AVCO-PRINT PRL in the last screen.

7. After printing and drying the fabric should be cured for 3-5 minutes at 150 – 160°C.

8. Calandering the printed fabrics produce excellent lustre effect.

PRINTING RECIPES:

1. “Silver” printing

Add 0.2-2% of AVCO-LOR BLACK CH, homogenize with a high speed mixer (1500-3000 r.p.m) and filter.

2. “Ivory” effect

Use AVCO-PRINT PRL as it is.

3. Coloured pearl lustre effects

Add 0.1-5% of AVCO-LOR pigments, homogenize with a high speed mixer and filter.

4. “Gold” printing

Add 0.4-0.8% of AVCO-LOR YELLOW R, homogenize with a high speed mixer (1500-3000 r.p.m) and filter. The recipe can be modified with AVCO-LOR ORANGE RC, AVCO-LOR BLACK CH and AVCO-LOR BROWN BGG according to the desired “GOLD” effect.
