AVCO-SOFT VT-500 is a cationic softener concentrate, used for producing liquid cationic softeners.
AVCO-SOFT VT-500 imparts a soft hand with high surface smoothness.
AVCO-SOFT VT-500 is composed of biodegradable ingredients with no potential for bioaccumulation, and with no evolution of toxic compounds during biodegradation.
AVCO-SOFT VT-500 is environmentally friendly, and can be regarded as a “GREEN” product. AVCO-SOFT VT-500 was tested and proved to be non-toxic to the human body. It is non-irritant to the skin of users of textiles treated with this softener.

PROPERTIES & USES:
1. AVCO-SOFT VT-500 produces a soft, non-greasy handle on all fibres, mainly those made of cellulose and its blends.
2. AVCO-SOFT VT-500 is a highly concentrated softener, saves storage room and handling in the dye house.
3. AVCO-SOFT VT-500 provides good anti-static effect to synthetics and to their blends.
4. Good napping and brushing aid.
5. AVCO-SOFT VT-500 does not promote soiling.
6. AVCO-SOFT VT-500 is regarded as a non-yellowing softener at drying temperature range of 110-160°C.
7. AVCO-SOFT VT-500 can be applied together with silicone and polyethylene softeners.
APPLICATION:
I. Dilution procedure:
Prepare a liquid dilution of AVCO-SOFT VT-500 (10-15%) by pre-melting it at 50-60°C and dissolving it in warm water (55-60°C).Use a slow speed mixing device.
Continue slow speed mixing until the liquid dilution in completely smooth with no lumps.
Cool down to room temperature and drain out through a filter fabric.
It is possible also to dissolve the un-melted product in hot water (65 – 75 C).
II. AVCO-SOFT VT-500 can be applied by padding or by exhaustion methods.
A. Application by exhaustion:
Adjust the pH to 5-5.5 with acetic acid. Add 3 – 6% of the 10% dilution of AVCO-SOFT VT-500
Run for 20-30 minutes at 35-40°C.
B. Application by padding:
Apply 30-60 g/l of the 10% dilution of AVCO-SOFT VT-500, depending on the pickup and the required hand.
For improved handle apply AVCO-SOFT VT-500 (10% dilution) with additional silicone type softener such as AVCO-ELASTOGUM-100 or AVCO-ELASTOGUM WME (10 – 20 g/l). |
